Idk if they just keep her around for eye candy or to draw in the woman power crowd, but they try to market her as an engine expert. Also, they have a woman named Constance in the shop. Really felt bad for the guy that made that POS for. I would be worried about taking that car anywhere over 40 MPH bc if the canopy didn't straight up fly away then the sound of the wind whistling through all the gaps would drive me crazy. No headlights, no turn signals and the dual canopy? Forget about it, total piece of crap, not even air tight, even when it's closed it has spaces between the canopy and body big enough to push a golf ball through. They basically just threw a body kit they made themselves out of fiberglass on a Corvette Chasis. I really lost respect for them when they did the life size hotwheels car, Splitting Image. I do like that the attractive woman they chose to cast (Constance) actually has a legitimate background and skill set. So as much as I like unique build shows, this one has things I can't overlook. It's uncomfortable and personally I don't like it. It truly seems like he doesn't like Shawn.
I guess we're supposed to think he's joking around with Shawn but he's always serious when he says derogatory things to him and there is NEVER any relief from it. Also, the relationship between the boss and Shawn feels uncomfortable. Almost every car I see them turn out, their engine compartments aren't finished and actually dirty, I've seen blemishes on finished paint or just poor paint in general, the Delahay is really sloppy poor paint, front fender overlapping the rear, the rubber mat covering the running board fits poorly and had a big wrinkle in it, lots of body fitment issues.etc, etc.
The canopies don't fit tightly on the 2 cars they built that have them. I enjoy the show but on every car I see them do, there are workmanship issues. The fact that some of the work they do is questionable (big gap in the Futura sliding plexiglass cover that would fly off down the highway) and nobody wears safety gear kinda makes you wonder if this is a legit garage. Netflix.you missed the point of the car show. Check for the supposed "all-nighter" scene where they are fake yawning and drinking coffee. Look, I like car shows, but this one is sooooo heavily scripted and fake that it really makes the show look bad. Some how all the customers seem to weirdly accept these vehicles despite the tacky design or paint jobs. In the show, the Gotham Garage gang build a car and then trade it to a customer who has something more valuable that they can use to increase their cash to get something bigger/better. And finally D: the head-bandana wearing boss (thats been done before) who I can never tell if he is happy, sad, angry, or whatever because he never changes expression or tone of voice throughout the entire show. Seems like she knows a few things about cars. D: An incredibly hot chick model who works on cars. C: Lone background Mechanic who looks like he puts in a hard days work named Tony. B: Outrageous mechanic named "caveman" who hasn't cut his hair and beard since the stone age. Oh, and if you haven't figured out why he talks that way, He's an actor ( his IMDB). He doesn't really work on cars.he just magically finds people who want to trade something for a Gotham Garage car.plus cash. Interesting cast of characters:Ī: "Surfer dude" deal maker guy. So Car Masters has all of these items.so what makes it different? 1. A TON of IMDB reviews with incredibly high scores that just have a couple of sentences like."its great" or "good show". Constantly talk about how whatever car you are building is the biggest, baddest, most expensive, risky, innovative, potentially bankrupting car ever.ħ. Sell a car that you wouldn't think get over $50K suddenly get $90.Ħ. Have amazing "barn find" cars suddenly become discovered.ĥ. Magically have the car go from junk to a jewel in a week.Ĥ. Have impossible deadlines to get a car prepped, painted/built for a car event.ģ. Use the words "baddass, interwebs, and Pop (for paint design)" every 10th sentence.Ģ. If you want to have a car show these days you need to do the following:ġ. Since the beginning of the Car Shows, studios have always been looking for a sure-fire-formula to make to keep the ratings up and the show going.
